Starting from the shop floor, Kim is one of the last Production Designers/Art Directors apprenticed in the original studio traditions. Entering the industry in the late 70s and trained by some of the best in the industry, by 1984 Kim opened Starlight Effects for design, commercials, props, mechanicals & visual effects. Noted for work on Star Trek, Stargate, Mission Impossible, Deep Impact, Mission to Mars and Space Above & Beyond, it’s his Web Series that has recognized his talents with the inaugural Streamy Award for Production Design in 2009. While Kim is known for his science in science fiction, it’s his ability cross over many time periods and settings combined with his vast experience in design, construction, FX & VFX, production, business, finance, branding and applied technology that truly sets him apart.

Now an award-winning film and digital editor, Laura got her start working on Adam Sandler’s features on the Sony Pictures’ Culver City lot. In over a decade in Hollywood, she has edited studio and independent features both funny and tragic, visual effects, shorts, and documentaries. Other experience includes promos, commercial spots and TV, teaching and guest lectures.
